What is FPSC? What Are Its Objectives?

FPSC (Federal Public Service Commission) is a statutory body established in 1947, functioning under the Federal Public Service Commission Ordinance 1977, and in the guidance of Articles 18, 34, and 38 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Federal Public Service Commission is responsible to conduct the tests and examinations for recruitment in all posts in Basic Pay Scale 11 to 15, 16 as well as above. The recruitment and tests are conducted by FPSC in the following departments.

  2. The Central Board of Revenue
  3. Federal Investigation Agency
  4. Anti-Narcotics Force
  5. Pakistan Railways
  6. Directorate General of Immigration and Passports
  7. Export Promotion Bureau

  9. Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment

The Commission shall test the civil servants for appointment in any of the above or all above-mentioned departments and will provide results to the concerned department. The commission also conducts promotional tests for the higher posts.




FPSC Exams Schedule for the Post of Inspector in the Federal Investigation Agency

FPSC conducts a test when FIA communicates corresponding to FPSC to fulfill the vacant posts. There is no particular period to conduct tests. It depends upon the situation of vacant posts in FIA. The last time test and examinations for the post of Inspector in FIA were conducted by FPSC in 2018.

The schedule of PPSC, CSS, BSPC, SPSC, and KPPSC is different as compared to other testing services like NTS, OTS, and PTS, etc. FPSC tests are conducted to full the authoritative and decision-making posts in the Federal Areas as well as Islamabad Capital Territories; therefore FPSC conducts the objective as well as subjective test.

FPSC Candidates Age Limit Post of Inspector in the FIA

The age limit set of FPSC exams for the Post of Inspector in the Federal Investigation Agency is between 18 to 25 years. You can participate in FPSC exams if you are 18 or above 21 and below 25. However, the concession on age to the already government-serving employees is granted according to age relaxation rules.

If you are already a government employee in any federal or provincial department, then your age limit is 35 years. Moreover, 10 years age relaxation rules are also applicable for disable persons as given in Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation f Upper Age Limit Rules, 1976).

Who Can Apply for Post of Inspector in the FIA / Required Qualification for FPSC?

Only those candidates can apply and appear in FPSC exams for the Post of Inspector in the Punjab Education Department having a graduation degree with 2nd division from any HEC (Higher Education Commission) recognized university.

How to Apply for FPSC?

FPSC exams are conducted every year to fill the authoritative posts (Vacant posts in BPS-16 or above) in different departments of ICT. The advertisements are published in major newspapers by FPSC i.e. Jang, Express, Nawa e Waqt, etc. The publication is also made on the official website of FPSC.

After the publication of the advertisement, you can apply for FPSC exams through the online system. No one is allowed to send their application via postal or by hand. All candidates can submit their application forms online. The application form along with a complete guideline for online submission of applications is available on the official website of FPSC.

Before submissions of application forms, you have to submit the required fee (which will be given in advertisement and form will be available on the FPSC website) in any branch of State Bank and National Bank of Pakistan.
