PPSC (Punjab Public Service Commission) is a recruiting agency aiming to select and recommend the most suitable candidates through a transparent, fair, and merit-based selection and recruitment process; to promote professionalism, excellence, and competence in the Punjab Public Services.

Punjab Public Service Commission is responsible to conduct a complete recruiting process i.e. written tests and interviews, in the different districts of Punjab. The administration of PPSC is also advised to provide its suggestions and recommendations to the Punjab Government on Punjab Public Services.
The regional offices of PPSC established in 6 districts of Punjab to provide its services i.e. Rawalpindi, Multan, D.G. Khan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, and Bahawalpur.
Qualification Experience for the Post of Branch Officer
The minimum required qualification for the post of Branch Officer, PPSC, is a Master’s degree (2nd Division) in Public Administration, Business Administration, HRM, Finance, and Economics from any University by Higher Education Commission. Or LLB from any University Recognized by HEC.
Age Criteria for the Post of Branch Officer
The age limit set of PPSC exams for the Post of Branch Officer, Punjab Public Service Commission, is as follows: –
Male: 22 to 30 years
Female: 22 to 30 years
You can participate in PPSC exams if you are 21 or above 21 and below 28 years. However, the concession on age to the already government-serving employees is granted according to age relaxation rules.
In Case of Relaxation of Age
Male: 22 to 30 + 5 = 35 years
Female: 23 to 30 + 8 = 38 years
If you are already a government employee in any federal or provincial department, then the age limit for males is 35 years, and for females, the age limit is 38 years.
Domicile and Place of Posting
The candidates having domicile from any district of Punjab are eligible to apply. Candidates having domicile from other provinces are not eligible to apply. After selection you can be posted in PPSC Head Office, Lahore, or its regional offices in Rawalpindi, Multan, D.G. Khan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, and Bahawalpur.
Subject and Syllabus by PPSC for the Post of Branch Officer
One Paper of MCQs format written test containing 100 marks in the duration of 90 minutes will be conducted. The subjects are General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Islamic Studies, Basic Mathematics, Geography, Current Affairs, English and Urdu, Everyday Science, and Basic Computer Studies.
Negative Marking: The negative marking will be done and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer of MCQs.
How to Apply for the Post of Branch Officer?
PPSC exams are conducted every year by PPSC (Punjab Public Service Commission) to fill the authoritative posts (Vacant posts in BPS-16 or above) in different districts of Punjab. The advertisements are published in major newspapers by PPSC i.e. Jang, Express, Nawa e Waqt, etc.
After the publication of the advertisement, you can apply for PPSC exams through the online system. No one is allowed to send their application via postal or by hand. All candidates can submit their application forms online. The application form along with a complete guideline for online submission of applications is available on the official website of PPSC.
Before submissions of application forms, you have to submit the required fee (which will be given in advertisement and form will be available on the PPSC website) in any branch of State Bank and National Bank of Pakistan.
