Services and General Administration, Punjab, is the administrative department of Punjab. This department performs its duties as Administrator for the other departments under the administrative control of Govt. of Punjab.
All the posting and transfers of ministerial and secretarial staff, including administration of Punjab (Deputy Commission, IG Police, Bureaucracy) are issued from the Services and General Administration department. This department also facilitates the Punjab Government with utmost human resources to improve efficiency and work.

Age Criteria for the Post of Assistant Protocol Officer
The age limit set of PPSC exams for the Post of Librarian, Services and General Administration, Punjab, is as follows.
The age limit for male candidates is 18 to 30 years and in case of relaxation, the age limit for male candidates would be 35 years.
The age limit for female candidates is 18 to 33 years and in case of relaxation, the age limit for females would be 38 years.
Domicile and Place of Posting
The candidates having domicile from any district of Punjab are eligible to apply. Candidates having domiciles from other provinces are not eligible to apply. After selection, successful candidates will be posted in Services and General Administration, Punjab, Lahore, or anywhere in Punjab.
Subject and Syllabus by PPSC for the Post of Assistant Protocol Officer
One Paper of MCQ format written test containing 100 marks in the duration of 90 minutes will be conducted. The subjects are General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Islamic Studies, Basic Mathematics, Geography, Current Affairs, English and Urdu, Everyday Science, and Basic Computer Studies.
Negative Marking: The negative marking will be done and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer of MCQs.
