Punjab Civil Defence, under the administrative control of govt. of Punjab, controls the matters of civil defence in order to protect the people and their assets from any kind of attack or in case of emergency. This department remains in contact with the Armed Forces i.e. Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, and Pakistan Navy, to ensure the implementation of peace in the entire Punjab.
The basic functions performed by Punjab Civil Defence during peacetime are enhancement of civil society capabilities and reduce the intensity of natural disasters and emergencies. Moreover, it also cooperates with security agencies to capture the offenders on non-implementations of Fire Safety measures.
Qualification Experience for the Post of ASSISTANT
The minimum required qualification for the post of ASSISTANT is Bachelor’s degree (2nd Division) from any University by Higher Education Commission with 3 years experience in Social Work or Public Administration in a reputable organization.
Age Criteria for the Post of ASSISTANT
The age limit set of PPSC exams for the Post of ASSISTANT, Punjab Civil Defence, is as follows.
The age limit for male candidates is 21 to 30 years and in case of relaxation, the age limit for the male candidate would be 33 years.
The age limit for female candidates is 21 to 30 years and in case of relaxation, the age limit for females would be 38 years.
Domicile and Place of Posting
The candidates having domicile from any district of Punjab are eligible to apply. Candidates having domicile from other provinces are not eligible to apply. After selection, successful candidates will be posted in Punjab Civil Defence, Lahore, or anywhere in Punjab.
Subject and Syllabus by PPSC for the Post of ASSISTANT
One Paper of MCQs format written test containing 100 marks in the duration of 90 minutes will be conducted. The subjects are General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Islamic Studies, Basic Mathematics, Geography, Current Affairs, English and Urdu, Everyday Science, and Basic Computer Studies.
Negative Marking: The negative marking will be done and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer of MCQs.
How to Apply for the Post of ASSISTANT?
PPSC exams are conducted every year by PPSC (Punjab Public Service Commission) to fill the authoritative posts (Vacant posts in BPS-16 or above) in different districts of Punjab. The advertisements are published in major newspapers by PPSC i.e. Jang, Express, Nawa e Waqt, etc.
After the publication of the advertisement, you can apply for PPSC exams through the online system. No one is allowed to send their application via postal or by hand. All candidates can submit their application form online. The application form along with a complete guideline for online submission of applications is available on the official website of PPSC.
Before submissions of application forms, you have to submit the required fee (which will be given in advertisement and form will be available on the PPSC website) in any branch of State Bank and National Bank of Pakistan.
